What Does a Machine Operator Do at Swire Coca-Cola? Machine Operators are responsible for general duties involving physical handling of product, materials, supplies and equipment. They operate and monitor machinery, replenish materials, visually inspect production runs, document results and maintain cleanliness to ensure safety and performance standards.
Job Details Schedule: 4:45 pm – 5:00 am Thursday – Saturday and every other Wednesday (OT and off days as needed) Job Level: 2
Responsibilities
Operate and monitor equipment and replenish materials as needed through production shift
Set up machinery ensuring all production materials are available and ready to be used to produce
Visually inspect production run and document results, confirming quality of product throughout production
Determine and report malfunctions to supervisor or manager to safety hazards and product defects
Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned area to maintain safety and performance standards
Attend meetings as assigned and assist with special projects and events
Requirements
High School Diploma (or GED) required or equivalent degree/certificate required
Forklift Certification within 30 days from hire required
Must be able to learn and fully operate assigned production equipment
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to perform essential functions with little or no supervision
Ability to work weekends and holidays as directed by the business
Ability to lift 50 pounds
