Division Overview The Division of Liquor Control supports Ohio’s economy by ensuring compliance with the manufacture, distribution and sale of alcoholic beverages, promoting responsible consumption, and educating the public and businesses about legal responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Review new and transfer retail permit applications for completeness.
Assist Accountant Examiner 3s with securing documents, information and fees for liquor permit issuance.
Upon receipt of new/transfer retail applications, send notifications to local governmental entities.
Draft correspondence to applicants and other governmental entities.
Assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications
24 months experience in a position involving the review & processing of claims, collections, billings, payments or document review for accuracy, completeness & compliance with reporting guidelines and laws.
OR 16 semester or 24 quarter hours in accounting, plus 12 months experience in accounting or other fiscal/financial activity.
OR 12 months experience as Accountant/Examiner 1, 66111, with state government experience commensurate with duties to be assigned.
OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
