Role Summary Cinemark Assistant Managers oversee theatre operations, ensuring policies, procedures, and operational standards are met. They are cross‑trained across all departments and provide inspirational training to employees. Assistant Managers may advance to Senior Assistant Manager, Theatre Manager, or General Manager through the Management Accreditation Program and a minimum of six months of service.

Responsibilities

Follow the direction of the General Manager.

Support the General Manager’s decisions in communication with staff.

Perform duties in all departments and theatre job functions.

Train and coach Team Members in their specific job functions.

Assist in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the General Manager.

Participate in inspections of the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, property, roof, exterior signage, and equipment.

Report needed building, property, and equipment repairs to the General Manager.

Ensure theatre Team Members follow the dress code.

Interact with guests to improve service and ensure superior customer experience.

Learn and enforce policies and procedures as outlined in Cinemark’s Guidelines.

Report employee relations issues to the General Manager (or the provided reporting portal when the GM is absent).

Adhere to the Employee Relations Reporting Protocol and uphold a high work‑ethic standard and code of conduct.

Identify and sanitize high‑contact employee and guest areas.

Use personal protective equipment appropriately.

Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks.

Address safety or security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.).

Perform other work‑related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum age 18 years.

High School or G.E.D. graduate preferred.

Completion of three basic courses in Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program.

Complete basic food handling training and obtain any required local or state certification.

Complete Safe Alcohol Service training if working with alcohol.

Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Maintain regular and consistent attendance.

Display an energetic and friendly attitude each shift.

Provide excellent guest service.

Accurate cash handling and basic math skills.

Effective verbal and written communication in English with all ages, genders, and personalities.

Ability to work in both team and independent settings.

Follow direction promptly.

Respond with a sense of urgency.

Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Ability to train and lead others.

Resolve conflicts effectively.

Physical And Environmental Requirements

Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Frequent standing, walking, and reaching throughout the theatre.

Noise level may be moderate to high at times.

Work in a standing position for extended periods.
