as a Medical Assistant supporting both front and back‑office duties in a fast‑growing kidney care practice.
About the Position The Clinical Support will assist in the delivery of excellent patient care by performing routine clinical and administrative tasks to keep the office running efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Duties
Take medical histories and vital signs.
Reconcile medication lists.
Explain treatment procedures to patients.
Prepare patients for examination (in‑person and/or telehealth).
Assist the physician during exams.
Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
Instruct patients on medication and special diets.
Authorize prescription refills as directed.
Remove sutures and change dressings.
Stock examination rooms and maintain instruments.
Keep inventory of medications and supplies; maintain logs and required checks.
Provide coverage for other MAs as needed.
Other duties as assigned; travel may be required.
Front Office Duties
Use computer applications to manage patient records.
Answer telephones, take messages, and provide feedback to patients, physicians, and pharmacy.
Greet patients and schedule appointments.
Update and scan patient medical records.
Code and fill out insurance forms.
Arrange for hospital admissions and laboratory services.
Handle correspondence and collect copays.
Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience as a front and back‑office Medical Assistant.
Medical Assistant Certification.
Proficiency using EHR software applications.
Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Experience using EPIC.
Required Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Provide excellent customer service.
Interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
Use good reasoning and judgment, react appropriately in emergencies.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Other Considerations
Background check required.
Travel to other sites within San Diego County may be required.

Pay Range $21.00 – $23.00 per hour.
