Position Title: CAM- Technical Theatre Assistant**Purpose within the Organization:**The purpose of this position is to assist CAM with the Ethington Theater.**Responsibilities Related to Purpose:**Student will aid the technical director and master electrician in execution of designs for Ethington Theatre’s main stage productions which includes but is not limited to:* Set construction* Welding* Light focus/hang* Operating shop tools and machinery including but not limited to woodworking tools, steel cutting and grinding tools, and electrical equipment**Equipment used and responsibility:*** Computer* Copier* Hand tools and Power tools* Table saw and chop saws – virtually any and all construction tools* Ladders and personnel lifts and climbing equipment* Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders and work at height**Qualifications:**Student should have a working knowledge of basic construction, lighting, and tool usage. Familiarity with theatre methodology is highly recommended.Grand Canyon University/Grand Canyon Education is committed to a student first policy.Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:* Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.* Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.* Maintain good financial standing with the University.*You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.*Pay Rate: Minimum WageNumber of Openings: 2
