Math Teacher
you will have the opportunity to change lives through education by helping students understand that mathematical problems have an absolute answer requiring precision, accuracy and fluency through a spiral curriculum reinforced by mathematical practices. Responsibilities
Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences. Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs. Utilize direct instruction techniques to guide students through a variety of activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for success. Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and propose plans for improvement. Maintain effective and efficient record‑keeping procedures. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis. Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment. Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community. Ensure that student growth and achievement are continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification. Participate in training and staff meetings. Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, and coordinating meetings as needed. Evaluate each student’s learning capabilities and celebrate student accomplishments. Encourage students to uphold our values and model mature behavior and good character in the classroom, on the school campus, and throughout their lives. Be active in the role when light lifting, sitting, standing, moving throughout the campus, and traveling to other campuses as required. Participate in events outside of normal hours. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree. Required to pass a criminal history background check. Preferred Qualifications
