Job Overview Renew Medic by HDF is hiring full‑time Lead Cabinet Installation Technicians to join our Field Operations team. This hybrid role will involve both in‑shop prep and on‑site installation of custom and restored cabinetry. While experience is preferred, this position does not require previous experience—just a professional attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn. You’ll be part of a tight‑knit team delivering high‑quality results to our residential clients.
As the Lead Cabinet Technician, your primary responsibility will be on‑site field operations including executing all in‑field systems and processes. You will often be the first on‑site representative of the company. You must maintain open communication with the office coordinator, production manager, builders, finishers, and the General Manager. You will promote a desired company culture and report to the Production Manager.
Responsibilities
Learn and ensure execution of all cabinet removal and intake systems and processes.
Daily communication flow with office coordinator, production manager, builders, finishers, and general manager.
Supervise other cabinet technicians on projects.
Conduct cabinet removal, pick‑up, delivery and installation.
Perform cabinet cleaning and touch‑up.
Identify and solve any on‑site problems that arise.
Promote a safe work environment and strictly adhere to all safety requirements and procedures.
Safely utilize cabinet building related equipment and machinery including table saws, miter saws, routers, edge banders, bandsaws, jointers, planers, sanders, power tools, dust collection, etc.
Provide coaching and direction to assisting technicians.
Ensure job sites and customers’ property is kept clean, safe, and organized before, during, and after your time on‑site.
Act as primary project lead on job sites providing supervision to technicians.
Spend time in shop as needed; majority of the day will be out in the field.
Receive signed work authorizations and certificates of satisfaction from customers.
Provide the necessary documentation associated with each job.
Utilize and become proficient in the DASH job management system from a mobile device.
Qualifications
Preferred : 3+ years experience in installation, insurance claims, construction, remodeling, renovation, home services, cabinetry, furniture, or wood working.
Required :
Attention to detail, timeliness, organized, and customer‑focused.
Experience in on‑site construction, remodeling, or renovation.
Experience interacting with customers on job sites.
Experience in installation of cabinets, trim, case goods, or other finish carpentry.
Willingness to help in other areas of the business when needed.
