Structural Inspector / CWI
We are seeking a Structural Inspector / CWI to join our Roswell, GA team. Come join us!
Job Responsibilities
Inspect structural steel members and verify welded and/or bolted connection areas to meet project specifications.
Record the results of tests and welding inspections on your field report.
Proficiency with MS Office especially Excel, Word, and Outlook is preferred.
The candidate will have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
You will be working in a highly matrix team environment so you should be comfortable working with different levels in an organization and have the ability to influence others across functions.
This can be a physically demanding job - you will need to be able to climb vertical ladders of up to 10 feet, bend, stretch, and stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time.
Schedule job(s) with dispatch/contractors/clients.
Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
Ensure a friendly relationship with clients/customers to ensure continued patronage.
Physical requirements:
Bending
Standing for extended periods
Squatting or walking on job sites
Climbing ladder(s) and/or scaffolding
Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
Qualifications
ICC Structural Steel Inspector (S1 & S2) or CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification.
N.D.T. certification not required, but a plus.
Wood framing inspections not required, but are a plus.
Candidate should hold AWS certification as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and will have hands‑on welding experience with at least three years of experience doing welding inspection.
Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to multi‑task, communicate, and have great attention to detail is needed.
Excellent organizational skills, positive attitude and good work ethic.
Able to prioritize the daily (ever changing) workload.
Ability to work with field personnel.
Your job will require you to drive from jobsite to jobsite mostly in the Metro Atlanta area.
Ability to travel, 75% of the time from jobsite to jobsite usually in the Metro Atlanta area.
Technical Requirements
Must have CWI or ICC Structural Steel & Bolting.
