Short Description The Registered RN is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.
Follows established policies and procedures
Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors
Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management and physicians

Overview The Radiology & IR Departments are in the basement of the hospital. These areas serve outpatient and inpatient patients who require procedures that require medical imaging to help diagnosis and treat certain problems. They see infants and adults. There are two sides to this. One group of nurses prepare and recover the patient following the procedure, while another group of nurses is in the rooms with the interventional radiologists and others to assist with the procedures. Some of these nurses do go over to MD Anderson for Radiologic cases scheduled over there.
Experience Required
2 years of Critical Care experience required
Education Requirements
Graduate of NLN-accredited School of Nursing
License/Certification Requirements
Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse) upon hire
Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) upon hire
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) upon hire
Current PALS Certification (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within 3 months of employment
Special Requirements
6a-6p IR Lab, on call rotation
