Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repairs electrical apparatus and components of industrial machinery and equipment
Troubleshoot power supply wiring and conduit for machines and equipment
Diagnoses and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables and malfunctioning electrical apparatus
Diagnoses and replaces faulty electrical components of machinery and position sensing devices which may require finding suitable replacements
Assists in other departmental areas as needed
Physical Requirement
Extensive mobility and excellent physical condition; ability to lift 75 lbs.; ability to operate all necessary hand tools; ability to kneel, crouch, climb, crawl, etc. to reach items in need of repair; ability to drive forklift, yard dog, and truck; tolerance to all extreme weather conditions, such as very hot or very cold temperatures
Skills and Knowledge
Teambuilding and the ability to work through others to accomplish tasks
In-depth knowledge of facility operations, people, products, and equipment
Knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements and guidelines necessary to operating a raw processing facility
Financial analytical skills to estimate costs, do cost-benefit analyses, and investigate reports
Computer skills: blueprints, drawings, layouts, spreadsheets, and powerful, yet simple, presentations
Ability to read and decipher Imperial and European schematic diagrams
Solid understanding of Allen Bradley PLC & HMI operations and communication protocols
Ability to understand PLC logic
In depth knowledge of VFD's including Siemens and Allen Bradley
The ability to show up on time and to be on call when necessary
