Summary of Position:

The Lead Installer will manage and perform kitchen equipment installation for Restaurants and Retail Establishments. The Lead will manage the field crew while assisting with completion of the project. Diagnostics of equipment is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist the General Manager, Project Manager, Superintendents, Project Coordinator with managing and completing deinstallation of old equipment, equipment and debris removal, site prep, protection of client’s property, kitchen equipment installation, and troubleshooting, general construction tasks while providing daily reports and photos as applicable This will involve:

Install or relocate new or used food service kitchen equipment

Fabrication, assemble, and install electrical wiring, controls, and piping according to specifications and code.

Wire and connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, and humidity controls according to wiring schematics as applicable.

Disassemble and re-assemble equipment

Fire up and commission equipment

Respond to emergency calls, if applicable

Effective communication with internal and external stakeholder to ensure complete understanding of scope of projects

Perform duties with minimal supervision

Read and understand instructions and overall project scope as well as effectively communicate the scope to the client.

Give clear written and verbal instructions to the crew

Conduct meeting with client and store personnel to review projects

Lead a crew of installers and technicians

Report and correct unsafe conditions in the work area. Conditions not correctable must be reported immediately to Ameritech management.

Ensure self and crew or on time and take required breaks and perform safety protocols

Equipment used but not limited to: Meter, gage, welding equipment, ladder, hoist, hand and power tools, pipe bender, propane torch, commercial light truck, van, and trailer.

Conduct surveys as applicable

Coordinate sub-contractors as needed

Follow scope instructions and procedures

Recognize problems outside of scope and effectively communicate through the appropriate channels

Obtain and deliver materials to the job site on time

Maintain a clean work environment

Maintain composure when faced with adverse situations and rapidly changing environments

Ensure quality of workmanship from self and crew

Work a flexible schedule of days, nights, or weekends

Perform the job safely by demonstrating full awareness of surroundings, utilize proper safety techniques, safety videos/training, and proper equipment use.

Excellent time management and prioritization skills.

Follow special instructions, schedules, and deadlines.

Maintain a clean and professional appearance, behavior, and speech.

Completion of accurate and timely paperwork, signoffs, reports, photos, recaps, itineraries, time sheets, expense reports, etc. electronically on a scheduled basis

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Hot Side/Cold Side Restaurant Equipment knowledge

General knowledge of all trades

Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license

Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.

Must be able to climb a ladder.

Must have a valid email address

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge of construction safety and safety procedures

Excellent verbal and written skills—Extremely Organized

18 years of age or older

Must be able to pass a background check

Access to reliable transportation to reach customer locations

Dependable and able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends

Ability to travel 75-100% of time

These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee may be required to:

Move about the work site working around people and equipment

Heavy lifting, standing, bending, and reaching

Occasionally ascends/descend a ladder or stairs

Operate tools or equipment

Positions self to install or remove equipment, including maneuvering in small spaces

Move equipment weighing more than 50 lbs.
