About the Role The purpose of the Registered Nurse Clinician is to provide medically prescribed infusion therapy to patients with acute and chronic conditions.
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturdays as needed.
Service Areas: East Columbia, SC and may travel to other clinics as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Active Registered Nurse license in the state(s) of practice.
1 year of nursing experience in a clinical specialty involving infusion therapy.
BLS or obtain upon hire.
Proficient at partner programs (i.e.: MS Outlook, Word, Excel).
Ability to cope with ambiguous, changing environment while under pressure in a calm manner.
Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion team.
Essential Functions
Work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team in an ambulatory infusion clinic setting.
Effectively utilize the nursing process to assess and care for patients.
Provide comprehensive nursing care in a professional, ethical, knowledgeable, and compassionate manner.
Provide disease and drug-specific education to patients and caregivers.
Comply with HIPAA and ACHC regulations.
Participates in on‑call rotation as assigned for AIC nurses.
Travel to outlying clinics as needed.
Maintain knowledge of medical/nursing practices by participating in educational in‑services.
Accurately perform all nursing duties according to the state nurse practice act while adhering to company policies and procedures including, but not limited to:
accessing and maintaining central lines and PIVS
obtaining lab specimens
collecting vital signs
Safely administer intravenous and injectable medications as ordered by prescribing physicians
documenting patient care
responding to and accurately reporting adverse drug reactions
assisting with administrative duties as needed
