Job Summary The Machine Builder is responsible for assembling, installing, and debugging automated manufacturing equipment for automotive and industrial applications. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read and interpret drawings, and hands-on experience building equipment to specification while meeting quality, safety, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble automation equipment, tooling, and subassemblies according to mechanical drawings, schematics, and bills of material (BOM)
Build, thread, and install pipe, headers, service stands, and lockout valves
Pipe equipment including robots, valve packs, manifolds, and sealer systems
Run and dress hoses and tubing per customer and engineering requirements
Prepare and install valve packs, manifolds, and related components
Drill, tap, and ream holes to required tolerances
Use hand tools, power tools, saws, drill presses, and grinders safely and effectively
Perform mechanical troubleshooting and assist with equipment debug and start-up
Ensure all work meets quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines
Support installation activities at customer sites as required
