About the position: This is a Flexible (Flex) position located at the Pines Golf Course on Joint Base Langley-Eustis VA - Ft Eustis location. Flex positions have no guaranteed hours but can work 0-40 hours per week. This position may be subject to holidays, nights, weekends and on-call work. Responsibilities
Operates field-type tractors with attachments to maintain the grasses at the golf course. Operates a variety of equipment to include but not limited to the following: mowers, aerators, plows, harrows, clippers, sprayers, disks, post hole diggers, moveable dozer, blades, backhoe, and other equipment ranging from small hand held applicators to tractor drawn liquid and solid dispensers. Makes all adjustments to equipment to ensure proper settings, connections, and mechanical soundness of equipment. Observes all safety rules and regulations pertaining to vehicle operation. Performs operator maintenance on field-type tractors and related equipment. Performs other related duties as assigned. This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. This position has physical lifting requirement which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical. Must have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start date. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
