The Service Technician is skilled in assembly/disassembly and repair of heavy‑duty equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting, diagnosing, repairing and servicing mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and components of heavy‑duty equipment. The candidate must supply own tools.

Qualifications
Has prior experience in heavy‑duty construction or heavy equipment machinery
If lacking in professional experience, has the drive and will to learn on the job
Strong problem‑solving skills
Detail‑oriented with a high level of accuracy
Proficient in mechanical systems (transmissions, hydraulics, engines, etc.)
Can work in a dynamic, fast‑paced shop environment
Associate’s degree in Diesel/Hydraulics (experience may be considered in lieu of formal education)
Desire to improve and advance in the chosen position
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Job Responsibilities
Demonstrate basic knowledge of engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, powertrains and fuel systems and perform repairs under supervision
Perform basic PM maintenance and parts replacement; remove and install major components with minimal supervision
Adhere to company safety policies and demonstrate safe and considerate work habits
Maintain neat and professional appearance and work area
Possess basic metric and standard mechanical tools
Accurately follow directions
Accurately complete all required paperwork for tasks performed
Have basic computer and typing skills
Move various types of heavy‑duty equipment to move them in and out of the work area
Attend and complete factory and regional training schools on specific products as required
Complete any other duties as assigned
