The Dermott Juvenile Treatment Center, proudly offers a

facility dedicated to helping at-risk young males (ages 18-21) build a brighter future. As the

only program of its kind

in Arkansas, we create a structured environment that fosters

self-discipline, self-respect , and

motivation , empowering youth to grow into successful young adults. Our center offers a

comprehensive approach , that includes an on-site school, vocational training, library, clinical and medical services—everything necessary to help students develop both the academic skills and life skills they need for success. We are

Qualifications

Have an Arkansas license as an LPC, LAC, LMSW, or LCSW

Must have a Master’s Degree in a relevant field

Be at least 21 years of age

Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test

Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry

Must meet the requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including having an active Driver’s License

Schedule Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM; On-Call on rotation

Responsibilities As a Licensed Therapist, you will have the unique opportunity to create a positive, safe and supportive environment for the youth we serve while building a career rich in growth opportunities and self-fulfillment.

Responsibilities include:

Providing individual therapy, family therapy, case management services and crisis intervention to each student assigned to the living area

Completing suicide assessments and documenting ongoing evaluation of students on Suicide Precaution Monitoring

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student development

Education Preferred: Masters or better in Clinical Psychology or related field; Masters or better in Social Work or related field.

Experience Preferred experience in providing individual therapy, family therapy, case management services, and crisis intervention to students assigned to the living area.

Licenses & Certifications Preferred: Licensed Master Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, License Marriage & Family Therapist.
