Used Car Reconditioning Technician

Base pay range $55,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
Position Overview As a Used Car Reconditioning Technician, you will inspect, diagnose, repair, and prepare pre‑owned vehicles for retail sale. You will play a critical role in ensuring our inventory meets the high performance, safety, and cosmetic standards of Edmond Hyundai and Genesis of Edmond.
Key Responsibilities
Perform thorough multi‑point inspections on incoming used vehicles
Diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical issues (brakes, suspension, engine performance, etc.)
Complete maintenance services (oil changes, tires, fluids, filters, alignments, etc.)
Communicate with service advisors and reconditioning managers on repair needs and time estimates
Document all work performed accurately and efficiently
Ensure all vehicles meet dealership and manufacturer reconditioning guidelines
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Qualifications
2+ years automotive technician experience preferred
ASE certifications a plus (not required)
Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
Ability to work efficiently in a high‑volume environment
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude
