Job Title: Law Clerk
Reports To: Legal Counsel
Approved By: Legal Counsel
Classification: Part Time – Non-Exempt
Core Purpose The Law Clerk position is a part-time position that will provide support to the legal department, perform legal research, and assist in drafting and delivering legal documents.

Responsibilities
Shows a commitment to The Trust Company’s Mission, Core Values, and Client Promise.
Assists general counsel, legal counsel, and staff attorney with their primary duties.
Researches and interprets laws, rulings, and regulations for specific matters.
Conducts legal research and analysis.
Prepares memoranda and briefs on legal issues.
Prepares initial drafts of legal documents.
Runs errands – including delivering documents to court and clients.
Maintains a strong sense of confidentiality and comply with company policies.
Additional projects as assigned
Qualifications
Currently enrolled at an ABA accredited law school
Organized with strong conceptual and research skills
Flexible schedule with a commitment to attendance
Critical thinker who displays accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
