Position Overview The Senior Scheduler, reporting directly to the Project Controls Director, plays a pivotal role in managing and supporting the scheduling activities for multiple projects within our innovative New Nuclear Development Program. This position demands a strategic thinker with extensive experience in project scheduling, who can ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery through meticulous planning and monitoring.
As a key member of the project controls team, you will contribute to the overall success by coordinating schedules, analyzing risks, and providing insightful reports that align with project goals and budgets.

Location This position is based in Darlington, ON.
Responsibilities Key responsibilities include:
Leading the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with project baselines, budgets, and risk registers.
Participating actively in proposal stages by estimating schedule resources and contingencies.
Creating resource‑loaded outage schedules with comprehensive consideration of shifts, calendars, and operational specifics.
Coordinating and synchronizing schedules across multiple databases, including client systems.
Monitoring and integrating the schedules of suppliers and subcontractors to support seamless project execution.
Organizing and leading internal progress meetings to validate schedule adherence and provide feedback to stakeholders.
Performing critical path, variance, risk, and contingency analyses to identify potential project impacts and develop mitigation strategies.
Producing weekly look‑ahead schedules and proactively flagging deviations while recommending corrective actions.
Maintaining rigorous change management processes, analyzing impacts of commercial, contractual, and internal changes, and ensuring accurate documentation.
Developing and delivering earned value management dashboards that effectively summarize schedule progress and resource utilization.
Providing expert guidance and mentorship to junior team members and fostering continuous improvement within project controls methodologies.
Engaging with clients and subcontractors to support scheduling activities and contribute to risk management processes through detailed schedule risk analysis.
Qualifications Qualifications you bring to this role include:
A Bachelor’s degree preferably in Engineering, Quantitative Sciences, or Construction Management.
At least 10 years of proven experience in project scheduling, with a strong background in nuclear or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite, with familiarity in SAP and estimation software considered an asset.
Experience in outage, maintenance, or turnaround scheduling environments.
Understanding of different contract types including fixed price and time & materials within EPC Contractor settings.
Hands‑on construction field experience enhancing pragmatic scheduling insights.
Outstanding analytical skills coupled with adaptive thinking and strong teamwork capabilities.
Highly meticulous with a strong focus on schedule quality and accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills tailored to diverse stakeholder groups.
Capacity to operate effectively within dynamic project environments using innovative problem‑solving approaches.
Recognized Project Controls expertise demonstrated through certifications such as PMI Scheduling Professional or AACE Certification.
Experience in managing stakeholder relationships and contributing to claim avoidance or negotiation is highly regarded.
A strategic mindset oriented towards project portfolio management and alignment with organizational objectives.

Base Compensation: $125,000/yr - $150,000/yr (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
