Material Handler - 2nd Shift (Transportation)
Job Description
Operate forklift and/or hi-lo, hand truck, to pick, put away, box or sort to manage flow of incoming/outgoing production and/or warehouse material.
Shift: 2nd Shift 3pm - 1am (10 hour shifts), Monday - Thursday; overtime on Friday if needed.

Essential Functions
Responsible for providing logistical support for the movement, storage, control and protection of raw materials, supplies, work in process products and finished products.
Performs and supports shipping and receiving tasks and QC groups, as well as to perform inventory control duties such as cycle count.
Stores materials and finished goods according to their status within our quality and warehousing systems.
Transacts inventory using the company's ERP system, which includes moving inventory, components, W.I.P., and finished goods.
Monitors storage space availability and, if issues arise, communicates to the Materials Manager.
Responsible for always keeping empty totes at the saws and pulling full totes away and making sure the full totes have the proper paperwork.
Required to band, scan, and move all finished goods to the designated location.
Operates a pallet jack, Hilo or other material handling equipment as per training and when required.
Participates and supports our company's continuous improvement program.
Responsible for helping keep the plant clean, and organized as well as that inventory is in the right storage locations.
Required to do all other duties assigned by management.
Skills
Familiarity with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, cranes and hand trucks, for tasks such as unloading a trailer (experience preferred).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
An eye for detail.
A team-oriented approach to meeting goals, including a willingness to help out at various stations within the warehouse and cleanup of communal work spaces.
A proactive work ethic, a sense of urgency and ability to work autonomously.
Specific vision abilities include color vision.
Willingness to develop in-depth knowledge of AFC products.
Requirements
Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 75 pounds at a time.
Prolonged periods standing and/or on feet.
