Job Description ASRC Federal System Solutions (ASFF) is seeking a NDE Quality Inspector, Senior at Kennedy Space Center, FL. Non‑Destructive Test (NDT)/Quality Control (QC) inspector supporting the Orion manned space flight program in the Neil Armstrong Operations and Checkout Facility at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The program is a fast‑paced Manufacturing and Assembly, Test & Launch Operations (ATLO) environment. Inspectors will work with experienced Quality Engineering (QE) and NDT inspection teams collaborating with engineering and manufacturing support functions to ensure that product quality and acceptance requirements are met. This position primarily performs nondestructive evaluation providing results and defect analysis in coordination with other Orion ATLO operational and engineering groups. This position prefers inspectors with prior NAS410 Level 2 or 3 certifications in multiple methods. Inspectors’ duties include comprehensive interpretation and application of technical procedures & working instructions providing written reports of acceptance/rejection/evaluation results of Orion Space Systems hardware to various engineering support groups. Inspectors also review and/or approve inspection records for adequacy and compliance to procedures and quality standards.
All inspectors must be able to work effectively in a team environment or independently as required. Inspectors will be expected to support program inspections during off‑shifts and on short notice to support ATLO program needs and schedules. Inspectors also investigate instances of nonconforming materials, facilitate the determination of root cause, corrective/preventative actions, and provide recommendations of disposition for Material Review Board (MRB) action.
Requirements
High school diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para‑engineering tasks and 3+ year experience.
Prior Aerospace experience with NAS410 (or equivalent) Level 2 or 3 certification in at least three of the following methods: Computed Radiography (CR), Digital Radiography (DR), Liquid Penetrant (PT), Eddy Current (ET), Ultrasonic (UT), Visual Weld (VT).
Current ASNT Industrial Radiography Radiation Safety Personnel (IRRSP) certification.
40hr Formal CR/DR Training Course.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and database utilization.
Must be willing to travel domestically to conduct NDT business.
Knowledge of Quality Control/Quality Systems and Processes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multi‑task, be thorough and detail oriented, with strong analytical and job closure skills as well as work within tight spaces, move and lift heavy equipment.
Previous composite material inspection, AWS CWI experience, orbital tube weld inspections.
Must be a US Citizen.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and database utilization.
Must be willing to travel domestically to conduct NDT business.
Knowledge of Quality Systems and Processes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multi‑task, be thorough and detail oriented, with strong job closure and analytical skills.
