Who we are looking for We are currently looking for a 2nd Shift Warehouseman to be based out of New Bedford, MA. Reporting to the Supervisor, the Warehouseman will be responsible for providing product placement throughout the facility and shipping & receiving. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing daily safety inspection of forklift and work area, weighing scrap materials, and transporting finished goods and raw material to staging areas.
What you’ll do
Performs daily safety inspection of forklift and work area.
Communicates with colleagues on other shifts to ensure a smooth transition.
Weighs scrap from the previous shift.
Transports finished goods and raw materials to staging areas, loads/unloads trailers following inspection of all floors and walls of incoming trailers before loading.
Secures chocks; installs glad hand lock and trailer jacks; completes the AFC loading dock safety sign-off sheet.
Must be available to work overtime on short notice.
Collaborates with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to achieve productivity and site goals.

What you’ll bring
High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred but not required.
2+ years experience as a forklift driver/material handler.
The ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
Good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations.
Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization.
Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands, and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner.
Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
Must be able to lift, pull, or push at least 50 lbs.
Must be willing to work overtime as needed to support production requirements.

Complete any required training.

Pay As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $25.60 hourly. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
