Summary
Prepares construction site for formwork to be erected in order to pour concrete footings and foundations by performing the following duties. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities
Locates points marked by the layout engineer in the area of the footing/foundation.
Digs footing/foundation to specified depth.
Places spoils away from the edge of the excavation.
Drives and operates vehicles such as backhoe, trackhoe, mini excavator, bobcat.
Inspect and maintains tools and equipment.
Works as a form carpenter when not needed to operate equipment.
Can dig to grade.
Education & Experience One to two years related experience and/or training.
Certifications & Licenses Current driver’s license.
Skills & Abilities Ability to operate a mini excavator/backhoe and skidsteer required.
Qualifications Must be willing to travel, pass a drug test, and E-Verify.
