is looking for a
Set‑Up Operator
in our Secondary Operations.
Summary Set‑up, adjust and operate a variety of machines to place threads in nuts or on bolts (tapping) and create the locking mechanism (deflection) for various products.
Job Duties
Set‑up, adjust and operate machines according to production specifications, blueprints, work instructions and customer requirements.
Operate multiple machines and perform several processes.
Make minor adjustments and perform routine maintenance on equipment; report additional maintenance needs.
Lubricate machines as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized work area.
Ensure all safety guards and settings are in good condition.
Inspect work in progress with the necessary measuring devices and tools as outlined in Quality Standards.
Check visually for poor product quality.
Be responsible for the quality of own work.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
Demonstrated math skills and computer literacy.
Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of machine operation.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Preferred Education and Experience
Certification in the metal trades industry.
Blueprint reading skills or willingness to learn.

Work Environment and Physical Demands Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. The work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds (seldom up to 50 pounds), frequent use of hands and fingers, moderate reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping.
Machinery operation requires safety equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel‑toed work boots or shoes.
