About this position: The Gas System Integrity Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance of the natural gas distribution system across multiple jurisdictions. This position will lead the development and execution of compliance strategies for gas distribution systems in alignment with regulatory code. As a subject matter expert, the role also provides specialized guidance and supports cross-functional teams in maintaining system integrity and operational excellence.

About this job:
Engineering design and technical expertise in gas distribution engineering preferred
Provide guidance to gas distribution operations through engineering reviews and technical computations
Develop system strategies in gas distribution for operational program efficiencies and technical competency
Drive continuous improvement in gas distribution code compliance through proactive strategy development and implementation.
Produce reports and technical documentation to ensure regulatory alignment across gas operations
Establish and maintain effective working relationships
Apply advanced mathematical concepts and analyze and manipulate data
Overnight travel as required for business up to 20% of the time

Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
BS in Engineering is required
Experience in gas distribution operations and/or 49 CFR Part 191 and 192 compliance preferred
Professional Engineer's License is a plus but not required
Ability to obtain Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) Certification
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency in technical writing and documentation.
Must be able to adapt to changing work requirements
A valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadline requirements
Must be organized and detail-oriented
Practical working knowledge of Microsoft applications
Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
Get Into Energy - Energy Industry Fundamental 2.0 certification is a plus (click here to certify at no cost)
