About the Role We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to architect and scale the server-side infrastructure, our AI-powered conversation analytics platform. You'll own APIs, data pipelines, AI/ML integrations, and the queue-based processing systems that power real-time conversation analysis and intelligent insights.
Responsibilities AI/ML Integration & Processing
Design and implement LLM-powered conversation analysis pipelines
Build the Copilot AI system with context management and tool calling
Architect embedding generation and semantic search with pgvector
Optimize prompt engineering and AI response quality
Implement streaming responses and token management
Core Backend Architecture
Design scalable RESTful APIs (private, public, and admin versions)
Lead database schema design, migrations, and query optimization
Establish patterns for error handling, logging, and observability
Queue & Processing Pipelines
Architect BullMQ-based job processing (insights, transcription, media)
Design fault-tolerant async workflows with retry and dead-letter handling
Build real-time processing pipelines for conversation analysis
Integrations & Third-Party Services
Design the integration framework for CRM and communication platforms
Implement OAuth flows and data synchronization (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoom, Twilio, etc.)
Build webhook infrastructure and event-driven integrations

Multi-tenant architecture with organization-scoped data isolation
RBAC system with hierarchical permissions
