Luna Data Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced
Senior Cloud Solutions Architect
for a long-term contract in a hybrid setting in Austin, TX. The primary goal of this position is to lead cloud computing initiatives and guide architectural strategies across IT and business domains. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and applications while ensuring compliance, security, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain cloud application architecture aligned with business goals.
Develop secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure.
Assess current systems and create migration strategies for cloud adoption.
Implement and validate cloud migrations ensuring data integrity.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Implement robust security measures for cloud environments.
Monitor and optimize cloud performance for reliability and cost efficiency.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Provide guidance on AI/ML/Deep Learning projects and map services across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and trends.
Required Qualifications
10+ years
architecting enterprise application solutions across on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
8+ years
experience in the following:
Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
Developing cloud native application architectures across leading cloud platforms.
Architecting solutions that utilize fit‑for‑purpose service models such as IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning solutions using AWS or Google technologies.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of networking (VPNs, DNS, load balancers, firewalls).
Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA).
Experience with CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, C#) and automation scripting.
Understanding of microservices, serverless architectures, and API management.
AWS or Google AI services experience (e.g., SageMaker, Vertex AI).
Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
Work Arrangement
Hybrid schedule: 3 remote days, onsite Monday & Wednesday.
Must be local to Austin, TX (within 50‑mile radius).
