Description The purpose of the Engineer III is to assure the overall success of the hotel by meeting or exceeding the guest expectation for working order of mechanical systems. The Engineer III must maintain a safe and working environment throughout the hotel by providing an attractive, clean safe and well-maintained property. This position is scheduled four days per week, for 10 hours each day. 2 days will be mid shift, and 2 days will be third shift.

Ensures that each Guest receives outstanding Guest Service by providing a Guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every Guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of Guest Service.

Empowered to guarantee total guest satisfaction, display hospitality and professionalism to our guests at all times, take pride in representing AURO Hotels professionally with our guests and assuring that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal and ethical manner.

Understands and applies all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for associates and guests at all times. In the event of an accident or emergency, gets medical attention if necessary and contacts the GM or Human Resources immediately.

Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company associates to foster and promote a positive working environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Meets and exceeds customer and team member expectations by providing service and teamwork, assisting co-workers as needed

Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers and supervisors.

Maintains hotel grounds/curb appeal in accordance with AURO and Brand standards.

Provides lawn care to grass areas as necessary by removing debris, mowing, seeding and edging.

Maintains the foliage around the building by planting and watering.

Uses groundskeeping equipment in a safe, efficient manner.

Maintains and repairs lawn and other outdoor equipment, including irrigation system.

Maintains the parking lot/ramp including all pavement, lighting, stairs, and elevator landings.

Provides proper lighting to parking lot/ramp by replacing light bulbs as needed.

Provides proper signs signifying pedestrian walkways and right of way.

Keeps sidewalk steps and paths clear of debris (snow and ice in the winter).

Maintains signs and street lighting outside hotel in working order replacing light bulbs and broken glass as needed.

Cleans and maintains pool and spa, handling all pool chemicals in a safe manner.

Cleans and maintains loading dock/receiving/associate area.

Demonstrates familiarity with hotel’s life safety systems and takes corrective action on any maintenance or operating problems which affect the security or operating condition of the hotel.

Reports any hazards or injuries in the department and hotel.

Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures and wear a back belt.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Complies with Company Standards of Service as outlined for AURO Hotels.

Projects a favorable image of AURO Hotels to the public at all times.

Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.

Treats guests, vendors, customers and co-workers with professionalism and respect at all times.

Completes Departmental, AURO Hotels and Brand standards training as assigned.

Maintains a clean and neat appearance at all times.

Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
