Superior Aerospace is seeking an experienced
Manufacturing / Process Engineer
to support the design, development, and continuous improvement of precision‑machined components and assemblies for the aerospace and general aviation industries. This role is hands‑on and instrumental in ensuring efficient, repeatable, and cost‑effective production of high‑quality parts.
This role will initially require approximately 60% travel.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T callouts, and 3D CAD models
Create, update, and manage 2D and 3D CAD models
Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes for CNC and manual machining
Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and work‑holding solutions
Build routing sheets, part travelers, and establish time and labor standards
Troubleshoot machining, programming, and process‑related issues
Support quality, document control, and production workflow requirements
Partner closely with operators and production staff to meet part specifications
Drive continuous improvement, efficiency gains, and cost reduction projects
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of recent experience in aerospace, aviation, or precision manufacturing
Strong ability to interpret and apply
GD&T (ANSI Y14.5)
Solid understanding of
process control , machining workflows, and routing
Demonstrated troubleshooting ability with CNC, manual machines, and NC programming
Ability to read and understand
G‑code , with parametric macro familiarity
MasterCAM (2024 or newer)
CAM programming proficiency
Preferred CAD:
AutoCAD or BricsCAD
(2D drafting)
Preferred CAD:
Creo Parametric (v11+)
(3D modeling)
Proficient with
Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience with quality systems, document control, and contract review
Additional Information
This role has
no direct supervisory responsibilities
