PPROJECT MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Office/Division leadership- This position will have the opportunity to be the first set of permanent boots on the ground in the Huntsville market for Crosby Electric. This person will build a team around them with the opportunity to continue to grow and lead that team as time progresses. This candidate will also be responsible for assisting with setting up a physical storefront in the Huntsville Market.
TEGG DES Responsibilities- Our electrical preventative maintenance service TEGG, will be our main product sold in this market and this candidate will fulfill the roles and responsibilities of a TEGG DES, or TEGG Project Manager. This will require this candidate to oversee daily operations of TEGG Technicians, price pull-through type work for customers, assist North Alabama TEGG Sales Team in opportunity pursuit.
Account Management- Lead the efforts to maintain long-term owner direct relationships with new and assigned key accounts
Estimating- Lead/assist with preconstruction activities required to backlog future work.
Purchasing- – Issues purchase orders for equipment, materials and subcontractors in a timely manner that does not jeopardize the project schedule
Scheduling- Develops a plan for what is to be done, what resources are required and when; coordinates with field superintendents / the client / general contractors / subcontractors to meet timetables for completion of work. Ensure subcontractors have been scheduled to complete their activities as required by the scope of work.
Manpower management– Works with trade superintendents to ensure that the correct number of workers and the level of expertise required for each project is provided. Keeps manpower projection sheet updated to allow field superintendents to plan their resources.
Quality management–Ensures that labor and materials meet the specifications of the client; this would include site visits, reviewing drawings and specifications as well as maintaining effective communications with the client
Managing margins– Completes monthly billings, monthly job cost reports, and monthly manpower requirements to ensure that profit margins are maintained according to estimates
Project closeout– Prepares final as built-drawings, develops operation and maintenance manuals, establishes warranty dates, completes punch list items and collects final billings
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to effectively coordinate between electrical and other trades
5 years electrical project management or general project management preferred or 8 years electrical field experience
Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong work ethic
Desire to teach assistant project managers and field employees
Ability to multi-task responsibilities
Computer skills to include MS Word, EXCEL, Project Management platforms such as Procore, and ability to learn new software.
A Journeyman or contractor’s license is preferred but not required
Pass background check and drug screen
