Job Summary: The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the organization, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, banking relationships, auditor relationships, compliance, and internal controls. The role ensures the accuracy of financial information and supports strategic decision‑making by providing key financial insights and analysis. The individual will also need to have background in or acumen for ledger and bank setup/migration.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Develop, improve & document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Monitor financial performance and identify areas for cost reduction and operational improvement.
Manage audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Oversee payroll processing and ensure adherence to tax and regulatory requirements.
Support strategic planning and financial analysis activities.
Supervise and develop the Accounting & Payroll teams, ensuring high performance and professional development.
Key Skills
Experience with Acumatica is a plus, Quickbooks also desired.
Experience with a RCM/ERP environment is required.
Experience with PowerBI is a plus.
Experience with RainTree and/or Central Reach or other EMRs desired.
Experience in Behavioral Health or Healthcare is desired.
Experience with private equity is a plus.
5 years of experience desired.
Platform setup/migration experience desired.
