JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Part-time, 20 hours/wk

SCHEDULED HOURS: Saturday/Sunday 10PM-8PM

ABOUT THE POSITION: Registered Nurse

Duties & Responsibilities

Demonstrates competency in age related or specialty issues and developmental needs for each population served.

Develops and provides group therapy and psycho-educational groups designed to aid clients in understanding and maintaining their medications and side effects and to improve skills in living a healthy lifestyle.

Provides crisis assessment and intervention to monitor status of clients in crisis.

Provides home or outreach visits when appropriate.

Maintains first aid supplies, disposal of hazardous waste, and destruction of medications and management of medication administration program as applicable according to agency policy.

Monitors the Medication Administration Program, medications, and physician’s orders

Qualifications

Graduate of a School of Nursing and RN Licensure.

Experience with mental health population. Experience working in a managed care environment.

RN license to practice in State of CT. CPR/First Aid Certification within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors or better in Nursing.

Technical/other training or better.

Compensation $63,634/minimum, and up commensurate upon experience

Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based off of relevant experience, as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
