Job Overview
Caring Therapists of Broward, a group private practice in South Florida, is looking for a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our thriving group practice in Orlando. We are a collaborative group of therapists that work well together in the office.
This is a commissioned position with independent contractor status. We pay biweekly and offer compensation between $100 and $150 per hour.
Requirements
Fully licensed in the State of Florida as a PMHNP with a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health.
Current DEA and CPR certifications.
Willingness to be paneled with insurance companies.
Will work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and 30 hours per week or more.
Experience with children ages 4‑18 and/or couples.
Minimum 2‑year post‑licensure experience is a plus.
Prior private practice experience and insurance paneling are a plus.

Position Responsibilities
Establish positive, trusting rapport with patients.
Diagnose and treat mental health disorders.
Create individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances.
Meet with patients regularly to provide counseling, evidence‑based treatment, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress.
Involve and advise family members when appropriate.
Refer patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary.
Maintain thorough records of patient meetings and progress.
Follow all safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality.
Maintain proper licenses, certifications and follow professional guidelines and ethical standards.
Contribute to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Collaborate with Caring Therapists administrative staff and management to exceed best practices and grow the organization.

We specialize in anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, LGBTQIA issues, couples & marriage counseling, child & teen therapy, trauma, and psychological testing. We offer testing for ADHD, Autism, Gifted evaluations, forensic psychology, learning disabilities, psychoeducational evaluations, and substance abuse evaluations. We provide in‑person and online counseling, and we are in‑network with a broad range of insurance panels.
