Job Summary and Responsibilities Dignity Health Medical Group has a need for a General Cardiology Advanced Practitioner in Prescott, AZ (90 minutes from downtown Phoenix, AZ).
Collaborate closely with the Cardiologists.
Conduct thorough pre-procedure evaluations, including patient history review, physical assessments, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
Educate patients and their families about the details of heart procedures, including risks, benefits, and post-procedure care instructions.
Assist in the coordination of patient care throughout the process, from pre-procedure preparation to post-procedure recovery and follow-up.
Monitor patients' progress and recovery following procedures, addressing any complications or concerns as they arise.
Provide ongoing patient education on medication management and lifestyle modifications to support long‑term heart health.
Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, physicians and surgeons, and allied health professionals, to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date medical records, documenting patient encounters, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards.

Job Requirements PA Requirements
Degree as a Physician Assistant
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Background in pre-med preferred
Minimum 3 years orthopedic PA experience, preferably in an acute setting.
Must hold and maintain: a.) AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants License, b.) NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant.
Valid DEA registration.
Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff
NP Requirements
Master's Degree in nursing. Graduate of accredited program for nurse practitioners
Compact state or Arizona RN license
Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse license
Surgical First Assist certification
Minimum of 3 years orthopedic NP experience, preferably in an acute setting.
Must hold and maintain National Certificate as a nurse practitioner in area of specialty under AZ regulations: a.) NP-AACN, b.) NP-AANP, c.) NP-ANCC, or d). NP-PNCB
Valid DEA registration
Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff
