Provide healthcare services to patients in both the clinic and surgery, under direction and responsibility of physician(s).
This is a casual position, looking for someone with flexibility M-F to assist with surgery at Maple Grove Hospital, OGI - Maple Grove and Edina Clinics, Fairview Southdale Hospital and the Edina Specialty Surgery Center.
ogi | Obstetrics, Gynecology & Infertility is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.
Essential Functions
Assist physician in the clinic (e.g., room and prep patients; order x-rays; compile patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination)
Assist surgeon in operating room (e.g., pre-surgery planning, position patient in O.R., check for proper instruments, assist in surgical procedure, close wound, remove patient)
Perform therapeutic procedures such as splinting, casting, suturing and wound care
Apply, remove, modify and adjust casts and soft goods; change dressings; remove sutures
Implement patient management plans, record progress, and assist in provision of care
Consultations with (phone or in-person) patients for cast application/adjustment, dressing changes or brace application; etc.
Rounding and call, as required by supervising Physician
Prescribe medications
Any and all other duties as assigned
Education, experience, & other requirements
NCCPA certification
Minnesota Board of Medical Practice registration/license
DEA registration
Experience working in OR, GYN, Robotic experience and certification required.

Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience.

Working Conditions
Frequently lift up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Must be able to frequently perform physical activities such as pushing, pulling, and reaching.
Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents.
Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly.
Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer).
