Save Job

T1 Energy is bringing solar manufacturing back to the U.S. by building a domestic solar supply chain. Our mission is to invigorate America with scalable, reliable, and low-cost energy. Our fully operational 5GW solar module facility in Wilmer, Texas, can manufacture more than 20,000 modules every 24 hours. By the time you finish reading this paragraph, we will have produced two solar panels that will power American homes and fuel domestic AI. We're focused on building advanced American manufacturing and we're passionate about engineering a better future filled with abundant energy. T1 is looking to hire a hands‑on Wet Process Engineer supporting T1 Energy's G2 Austin solar cell fab. You'll own the design, integration, and operational scoping of liquid line processes, working at the intersection of equipment, facilities, utilities, and safety. You’ll partner closely with equipment vendors, internal production teams, utilities, and third‑party engineering firms to deliver high‑throughput, code‑compliant wet processes that scale. This role is for engineers who like complexity, move fast, and are comfortable owning critical chemical processes. What You’ll Do

Design, integrate, and lead operational scoping for liquid process line supporting solar cell manufacturing. Digest vendor SOPs, OEM recipes, and internal methods with a strong focus on facility equipment interfaces. Lead consolidation and optimization of acidic and alkaline texturing, etching, removal, and polishing tools, including recipes, process timing, maintenance strategies, and chemical dosing. Act as a technical bridge between production equipment teams and facilities/utilities teams, ensuring designs align with U.S. codes and OEM intent. Partner with equipment vendors and third‑party engineering firms to deliver optimized, production‑ready designs. Own process engineering workflows for pretreatment and wastewater systems across all liquid in/out streams. Lead liquid hazard analyses and ensure ANSI, NFPA, and OSHA compliance across wet processes. Operate with urgency and energy to match a fast‑moving owner team. Who You Are

A process engineer who’s comfortable owning hazardous, high‑impact systems. Detail oriented, safety minded, and pragmatic. Comfortable working across equipment, facilities, vendors, and regulators. Able to translate complex chemistry into scalable manufacturing solutions. Motivated by building advanced U.S.‑based manufacturing infrastructure. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related STEM field. Deep experience in at least one of the following: liquid chemistry, chemical kinetics, transport phenomena, or colloid chemistry. 1+ year of experience designing or commissioning wet etch, acidic, or alkaline fluid systems for high‑throughput or semiconductor style manufacturing. Experience with hazardous liquid chemical systems (e.g., TMA, HF, HCI) in advanced manufacturing. Experience with photovoltaic, semiconductor, FPD, or thin-film manufacturing environments. Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and collaborate across disciplines. The T1 Way
