Key Responsibilities
Administer Safe & Accurate Radiation Therapy:
Ensure precise treatment delivery, maintain treatment records, and monitor patients throughout the therapy course.
Clinical Practice Management:
Prepare equipment, schedule treatments, and maintain accurate simulation and treatment records.
Quality Assurance Activities:
Perform daily machine QA, review prescription and plan consistency, and verify that all treatment documentation meets department standards.
Competency Management:
Perform calculations, document competency assessment criteria, and attend continuing education to stay current with licensing and competency requirements.
Clinical Instruction & Evaluation:
Participate in education initiatives, teach new students/therapists, and evaluate student performance.
Adhere to Departmental Guidelines & Institutional Policies:
Follow all protocols, complete variance forms, and comply with dress code and time‑management procedures.
Other Duties as Assigned
(perform additional tasks as directed by the department).
Education & Experience
Required:
Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited program in Radiation Therapy or equivalent.
Preferred:
Two‑year experience as a licensed Radiation Therapist.
Licenses & Certifications
Required:
RTT (Radiation Therapist) certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Required:
GMRT (General Med Radiologic Tech) license by the Texas Medical Board (TMB).
Benefits and Compensation
Competitive salary: $59,280 USD annual minimum.
