Overview
Location: Bristol and surrounding areas, with occasional overseas travel.
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent.
We're looking for a Field Service Engineer to support our clients across the South West of the UK. While most of your work will be local, you'll also have the chance to travel across the UK and occasionally overseas. Some time away from home should be expected, and as your experience grows, you'll get involved in commissioning new systems—sometimes for extended periods on-site.
Responsibilities
Service and maintain water treatment systems, including Reverse Osmosis, Deionisers, Filters, Water Softeners, and Effluent Treatment Plants.
Build strong relationships with customers and plant operatives.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues both on-site and remotely.
Install and commission plant (subject to your qualifications and experience).
Complete service reports and documentation using MS Word.
Respond to customer needs in line with our technical and commercial standards.
Contribute to service improvement initiatives and help boost productivity and profitability.
Maintain high standards of customer care and compliance with Health & Safety policies.
Take ownership of your development through proactive learning.
Qualifications
Multi-skilled electro-mechanical engineer with relevant qualifications.
Experience in water treatment is a bonus, but not essential.
Previous field service or technical support experience is desirable.
Strong communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
Professional, reliable, and IT‑savvy (especially with MS Office).
GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
Full UK driving licence and happy to travel.
