Onsite Monday-Friday Location: 3500 Colonnade Parkway, Birmingham, AL, 35243 What You\'ll Do
Present project designs to leadership and stakeholders, incorporating feedback and making strategic recommendations. Advocating sustainable design practices that reduce environmental impact and improve energy efficiency. Reviewing building plans and site layouts for aesthetics, environmental impact, code compliance, and accessibility. Research plans, design building projects based on client needs, financial constraints, regulatory requirements, applying knowledge of design, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials. Address challenges of scale, including site logistics for large workforces and high-density infrastructure. Produce schematic designs, design development, and construction documents using Revit, ensuring accuracy and cross-discipline coordination. Collaborate with consultants and internal teams to ensure Revit model integrity and project delivery. Address environmental considerations and advocate for sustainable design practices that reduce negative impacts and improve efficiency. Support the development of site-wide infrastructure, including utility substations, fiber networks, and mechanical systems. Contribute to the design of modular and scalable prototypes for rapid deployment across multiple sites. Serve as the technical authority for power generation projects from concept through commissioning Define and oversee system architecture across electrical, mechanical, civil, and controls disciplines Ensure compliance with utility, regulatory, and industry standards (NERC, FERC, NEC, IEEE) Lead equipment selection, design reviews, and interconnection coordination Act as the primary technical liaison with owners, EPCs, OEMs, and utilities Manage technical risk, constructability, and value engineering efforts Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and startup Mentor senior engineers and establish engineering standards and best practice What You\'ll Bring
Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Architecture from an accredited university. Certification: Registered Architect or working toward licensure is highly preferred. Experience: Minimum10 plus years of architectural experiencein industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects preferably in EPC environments. Proficiency inRevit, AutoCAD, and other BIM tools as well as Microsoft Office Suite. Strong understanding ofzoning laws, building codes, commercial / industrial construction procedures, andmaterials. Ability to managecomplex BIM modelsand workflows for large infrastructure projects. Familiarity withindustrial energy-efficient design, anddata center architectureis a plus. Strong verbal and writtencommunication skills Excellent presentation, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and in virtual, cross-functional teams. What You\'ll Get
