About Houston ExxonMobil's state‑of‑the‑art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

You will be an integral part of our process engineering team, providing deep technical insights into a specific process engineering technology area (e.g., Hydroprocessing) and supporting ExxonMobil’s manufacturing facilities globally.
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Hydroprocessing Engineer to join our process engineering team. The position is based in Spring, where you will work closely with our global process engineering team and teams at our manufacturing sites.
What you will do Your key deliverables may include one or more of the following:
Provide active technical leadership in hydroprocessing and hydrocracking within the company
Enhance organizational capability in hydroprocessing and hydrocracking by mentoring, reviewing technical work, and developing and delivering technical training
Evaluate, develop and deploy technologies within your area of expertise to deliver business value
Provide process engineering technical leadership and support to operating sites on unit operation, optimization, and troubleshooting during abnormal operation.
Serve as the process technology technical lead for capital project development from the screening phase through unit startup
Support installation, commissioning, and startup of greenfield or revamped facilities
Lead or provide guidance on process model development, sustainment, and enhancement
Collaborate with third parties to develop, design, manufacture, test, and deploy technologies or equipment
About you Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (required)
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or refining industry
Prior experience in hydroprocessing and hydrocracking for fuels and basestocks in the downstream oil refining industry
Proficiency in the following areas of hydroprocessing and hydrocracking
Unit operation, troubleshooting, and optimization
Process modeling
Catalyst selection
Experience in project development from early screening phase through lead case selection, detailed engineering, and unit startup and commissioning
Expertise in new technology evaluation, development and deployment
Turnaround support, including reactor inspection and startup
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
10+ years of work experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or refining Industry
5+ years of experience in hydroprocessing and hydrocracking for fuels and basestocks in the downstream oil refining industry
Experience in process development and equipment design, including design of reactor internals
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, especially within multicultural global teams
Strategic thinking with the ability to develop creative, fit‑for‑purpose solutions to resolve operational problems
Ability to influence and promote change to achieve desired results with little or no direct authority
Willingness to travel as needed for business purposes (approximately 10%)
