Elevator Construction Consultants - Project Manager
This is a unique, high-potential role for a driven individual looking to build a comprehensive career in the elevator and construction industry.
This is not a traditional, desk-bound PM role. It is a fast-track opportunity designed to develop a future leader who understands every aspect of our business. The ideal candidate is a highly-motivated self-starter, comfortable with autonomy, and capable of managing responsibilities in the field, with clients, and from a remote office.
This hybrid position involves a flexible allocation of responsibilities, approximately:
40%
On-site management and quality control.
35%
Technical, financial, and administrative oversight.
25%
Supporting client relations and firm growth.
Key Responsibilities Project Management & Consulting
Manage all project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract administration.
Assist in developing detailed elevator modernization specifications.
Support the project team in negotiating contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
Assist the consulting team by preparing damage assessment reports for insurance clients.
Provide design-assist support to architectural and engineering partners.
Track project budgets, manage schedules, and prepare regular progress reports for all stakeholders.
Field Oversight / Operations
Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for assigned projects, managing field installations and coordinating subcontractor activities.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, safety compliance, and adherence to all contract specifications.
Proactively identify and resolve field-related issues to keep projects on schedule.
Assist in conducting on-site equipment assessments and forensic investigations, meticulously documenting field conditions and findings.
Business Development & Client Relations
Support senior leadership in building and maintaining relationships with clients (e.g., Building Owners, General Contractors, Architects, Insurance Adjusters, and Law Firms).
Assist in identifying new project opportunities and client leads.
Help prepare proposals, presentations, and qualification packages.
Represent the firm professionally in client meetings and, as needed, at industry events.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree, in Construction Management, Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil), or a related technical field is preferred. Previous elevator industry related roles will also be considered.
Exceptional self-discipline and organizational skills to work effectively in a hybrid-remote environment (50% remote).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to confidently and professionally interact with clients, contractors, and design teams.
A hands-on, proactive problem-solver with a strong desire to learn the technical details of the vertical transportation industry.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as required.
5-8 years of experience or internship in construction, engineering, or a related field.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, CMiC, Plangrid, AutoDesk, BIM Modeling Software).
Salary: $120K - $140K
Compensation:
In addition to base pay, eligible for discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
