Strategic Finance, Hardware Product Finance We are hiring a Hardware Product Finance partner to own the product‑level economics and provide financial decision support across the entire product cost stack, from concept through launch and lifecycle cost optimization.

This role sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, GTM, and Finance, and is responsible for ensuring that key product and launch decisions—spanning pricing, feature trade‑offs, roadmap sequencing, and go‑to‑market strategy—are grounded in rigorous, product‑level financial analysis.

We have a strong preference for candidates who can be based at our San Francisco HQ, but we also welcome Seattle‑based candidates. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

In this role, you will:

Own end‑to‑end product financial models across the hardware lifecycle, from early concept and roadmap planning through launch, scale, and sustainability, including unit economics, SKU‑level P&Ls, and lifecycle margin trajectories.

Serve as a key finance partner to Product, Engineering, and GTM to support key product decisions (e.g., pricing, feature trade‑offs, performance targets) through clear financial frameworks and scenario analysis.

Translate product and GTM strategies into financially grounded execution plans, integrating assumptions around demand, pricing, volume ramps, mix, yields, and lifecycle margins.

Drive product‑level profitability and capital efficiency, proactively identifying margin risks, cost inflection points, and ROI trade‑offs across features, SKUs, and launch scenarios early in the development cycle.

Partner closely with GTM teams to evaluate pricing, discounting, bundling, channel mix, and sales strategy, quantifying the margin, revenue, and cash‑flow implications of different go‑to‑market approaches.

Build and maintain standardized SKU‑level P&Ls, unit‑economics dashboards, and scenario models to provide consistent, executive‑ready visibility into product performance and risks.

Support decision‑making by analyzing product economics, informing prioritization, sequencing, and long‑term product strategy.

Contribute to the development and scaling of the hardware product finance foundation, improving modeling rigor, data quality, and decision support as the hardware business grows.

You might thrive in this role if you have:

8+ years of progressive finance experience with significant exposure to hardware, manufacturing, or complex supply‑chain businesses.

A passion for helping build world‑class finance teams and driving business and financial outcomes, measured on margin improvement, working‑capital efficiency, forecast accuracy, and execution of cost‑reduction initiatives.

A strong ability to critically evaluate opportunities and risks.

Expert modeling skills with best‑in‑class attention to detail and unwavering commitment to accuracy.

An exemplary ability to distill complex financial information into actionable insights.

Excellent communication skills and “story‑telling” ability when presenting data insights.

Strong enthusiasm for building hardware products for the AI era.

Compensation $265K + equity
