Anticipated Salary Range:

$137,510.00 - $200,000.00

Job Description Enlighten is looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer specializing in AWS. If you’re passionate about building and optimizing scalable, secure cloud infrastructures, this is your chance to work with cutting‑edge technologies in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. Help design, deploy, and manage cloud solutions that power our next‑generation products, all while advancing your career in an exciting, growth‑focused role. Will work in a customer facility with a great team of engineers.

Engineered, architected, and deployed cloud‑based applications and infrastructure.

Developed strategic and implementation plans for information systems.

Developed infrastructure as code for cloud security infrastructure and security enclaves.

Worked in a high‑pressure, highly flexible environment against both short‑ and long‑term requirements.

Performed other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Security Clearance – a current Secret level U.S. Government Security Clearance is required; U.S. Citizenship is required.

9+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering (operations, management, design, and development of cloud‑based applications and capabilities) with a Bachelor’s in a related field; 7 years relevant experience with a Master’s; or a High School Diploma or equivalent with 13 years relevant experience.

3+ years experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.).

Experience writing in Python and working on the Linux Command Line.

Experience automating cloud configuration using tooling such as Terraform, AWS Config, Ansible, etc., and working autonomously in identifying areas for improvement.

Able to collaborate with existing platform architects on long‑term and strategic architectural changes to the platform.

Strong understanding of cloud networking best practices.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 3–4 days per week at our Fort Meade, MD customer site or our local Columbia, MD office. Flexibility is essential to accommodate any changes in the schedule.

Preferred Requirements Any of the following AWS Certifications are highly desired:

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

AWS Certified Security – Specialty

AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate

AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate

Designing, building, and managing infrastructure configured according to the DoD Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) and DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (DoD CC SRG).
