Job Description The ultimate goal of the Pharmacist is to oversee all acts, tasks, and functions performed by pharmacy technicians to ensure each guest receives extraordinary hospitality and guests experiences. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to performing duties in compliance with all applicable Federal and State laws, rules and regulations. The Pharmacist will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, build positive relationships with team members, and provide excellent customer service.
Typical Work Hours Monday - Friday
PRN between 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. - 5:30 pm.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs duties in compliance with all applicable Federal and State laws, rules and regulations.
Verifies the accuracy of all acts, tasks, and functions performed by pharmacy technicians.
Ensures adequate security of pharmacy, drugs and guest information.
Receive oral prescription drug orders and reduce orders to writing, either manually or electronically
Interprets prescription drug orders
Performs the final check and verifies the accuracy of dispensed prescriptions
Counsels the guest or their agent about their prescriptions
Reviews all compounding records for accuracy and conducts in-process and final checks to ensure that errors have not occurred in the compounding process
Ensures the maintenance and integrity of an adequate drug supply
Knowledge & Skill Requirements
Proficient in the use of PK Compounder and ScriptPro
Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Able to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
Well organized with great attention to detail
Possesses a positive mental attitude
Able to identify problems and offers solutions
Acts as a role model for pharmacy staff
Educational/Certification requirements Must possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy and be registered in Texas
