We are seeking a
Managing Veterinarian
to lead our 3-doctor small-animal practice, partnering closely with hospital leadership to support medical excellence, team development, and practice growth.
What You’ll Do Advance Medical Care
Provide oversight of medical and surgical cases, ensuring high-quality outcomes and client communication
Establish and maintain medical protocols and standards of care
Support case continuity between doctors
Manage medical inventory, minimize waste, and control costs
Lead & Develop the Team
Mentor associate veterinarians and support new graduate development
Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and performance management
Support technician training, appraisals, and medical counseling
Partner with the Hospital Manager on training programs, CE tracking, and licensure
Monitor key financial and performance metrics
Assist with annual planning, operating, and capital budgets
Encourage patient visits, client compliance, and community involvement
Embrace innovation and support hospital and NVA growth initiatives
Base salary: $130,000–$170,000 depending on experience
Monthly production based bonuses
Up to $10k signing bonus
Additional management bonuses

What We’re Looking For
DVM/VMD from an accredited veterinary school
Active Arizona veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
Proven leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
Strong medical judgment and commitment to high standards of care
Ability to confidently lead, delegate, and motivate a diverse team
