R0061359## **Position Title:**Process Improvement Consultant II## **Department:**Quality & Process Improvement## **Job Description:****General Description:**The Process Improvement Consultant II will drive the optimization of clinical workflows and operational processes OU Health. The consultant will work closely with healthcare providers, administrators, and staff to identify inefficiencies, implement evidence-based improvements, and support the center’s goals for patient care quality, safety, and operational efficiency. This role coaches and mentors process improvement efforts that are moderate level of difficulty, mentors junior staff and engage directly with leaders to drive change.**Essential Responsibilities:***Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position.
Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.** Lead and execute multi-departmental or cross functional process improvement initiatives utilizing 8 step, lean, lean six sigma or similar methodologies* Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and administration to identify performance gaps, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.* Analyze workflows, data, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to pinpoint inefficiencies and areas for optimization.* Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate staff on process improvement tools and techniques.* Develop process maps, value stream analyses, and other documentation to capture current and future state workflows.* Assist in designing and maintaining dashboards to track project outcomes, performance metrics, and sustainability.* Provide ongoing support to ensure that new processes are integrated and standardized* Partner with leadership to align process improvement efforts with the organizational strategic goals.* Monitor the outcomes of improvement projects and ensure that gains are sustained over time.* Stay current on best practices in healthcare operations and process improvement methodologies.* Coaches and mentors junior consultants and staff in improvement methodologies and tools.**General Responsibilities:*** Performs other duties as assigned**Minimum Qualifications**:**Education:** Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, business, industrial engineering, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred (e.g., MBA, MPH, MHA).**Experience:** 3-5 years of experience in process improvement required. Experienced in a healthcare or clinical setting preferred. Experience working in an academic medical center or large hospital system preferred.**License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required:**
None required. Lean Six Sigma preferred. PMP certification or similar preferred.**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*** Proven experience leading 8 Step, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar projects focused on clinical operations.* Ability to utilize data in storytelling to gain support from leaders and stakeholders* Strong analytical and data visualization skills.* Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a healthcare setting.* Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.* Advanced Microsoft Office skills with heavy emphasis in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint as well as Visio* Proficiency in data analysis, process mapping, root cause analysis, and other process improvement tools* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.* Ability to influence and facilitate change at multiple levels of the organization* Understanding of hospital operations, clinical workflows and regulatory requirements## **Current OU Health Employees - Please click** **to login.**## **OU Health is an equal opportunity employer.
