Job Description
The Lab Manager oversees all makerspace operations for the Microsoft Garage in Cambridge, ensuring equipment readiness, EHS compliance, and an efficient, safe innovation environment.
Responsibilities
Daily lab opening and closing.
Preventive maintenance of fabrication and electronics tools.
Train users on equipment usage.
Maintain inventory and procurement lists.
Enforce lab rules and document safety as well as operational procedures.
Provide hands‑on support during workshops, demos, and hackathons.
Partner closely with Garage Program Managers and Microsoft stakeholders to enable prototyping, events, and hands‑on learning experiences as outlined in the Garage Managed Services SOW.
Compensation Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to experience, job‑related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $55,100 – $102,300.
