U250100 – Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (APP); Medicine; Division of Allergy, Immunology & Rheumatology

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) operates under the direction and supervision of one or more physicians, providing healthcare services for adults within the Division of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology. Together with the attending physician they are responsible for:

General patient care including histories, physical exams and treatment decisions. The APP will be responsible for writing appropriate prescriptions.

Ordering lab tests, imaging, and other diagnostic assessments and conveying results to patient and attending and primary care physicians.

Learning to do and administering and interpreting allergy skin tests.

Completing all documentation in the electronic health record and timely billing for patient encounters.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree in accredited NP/PA program

Current NYS license, DEA and Board Certification

Must have ability to work independently, be flexible, demonstrate judgment and initiative while operating during demanding situations.

Preferred Qualifications

While some prior clinical experience is preferred, new graduates are welcome.
