We have an exciting opportunity for a Data & Platform Engineering Manager to join our Albany-based Support Centre and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of data and AI. As part of our Digital & Strategy team, you’ll be the foundation to empower data-driven decision making. You’ll lead a dedicated team of data professionals, driving innovation and excellence in data engineering, analytics, and platform management.
About the Role
Lead and grow the skills of a small team of data engineers.
Own the data platform strategy, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
Drive
best practices in data engineering , including automation, CI/CD, and cloud-native solutions on AWS, Coalesce and Snowflake.
Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver
high-quality, reliable data pipelines
that power analytics, AI, and decision-making.
Champion
data governance and quality standards
across the organisation.
What You’ll Bring
Proven experience in
data engineering leadership
and managing technical teams.
Strong knowledge of cloud data platforms and modern data architecture (preferably AWS, Coalesce, and Snowflake).
Expertise in ELT processes, data modelling, and pipeline orchestration.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, containerisation, and automation tools.
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at all levels.
Ability to align technology and data initiatives with business value, delivering outcomes in an agile environment.
