ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Technical Trainer to join our Learning Services team. This individual contributor role will be primarily responsible for delivering high-quality technical training to our North American customers. The Technical Trainer will play a critical role in enabling customers to maximize the value of Power Factors' software solutions by building competency and confidence through engaging, effective training sessions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver instructor-led training (both virtual and on-site) for customers on Power Factors flagship software products.
Customize training sessions to address customer-specific use cases, workflows, and business needs.
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), product managers, and customer success teams to maintain accurate and current training content.
Provide feedback to the curriculum development team on content improvements based on real-time classroom experiences.
Assist with the development of learning paths, persona based training, and overall customer training strategy.
Stay up to date with product releases, new features, and industry best practices to ensure training remains relevant.
Assist in developing training labs, scenarios, and hands-on exercises that reinforce key concepts.
Act as a customer advocate by gathering feedback and identifying additional enablement opportunities.
Support the development of certifications and competency-based assessments.
Maintain excellent customer satisfaction scores and continuous improvement of training delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of practical experience in technical training delivery, preferably in a technical B2B SaaS environment.
Strong technical aptitude with software platforms; prior experience with renewable energy technologies or asset management software is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences with varying technical backgrounds.
Experience with elements of instructional design and development of learning paths
Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both in-person and virtually.
Experience with learning principles, instructional design best practices, and learning technologies.
Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and remote training tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams, Webex).
Willingness to travel across North America up to 25% as needed.
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
